This could be a very educational year into how high streets maybe heading in the next 5 years .. At the moment we have a surplus of shops needed as sales transfer to Internet sites... That inturn means a surplus of workers not needed in shops that cut staff or close..
This means more profits to online sites with a lower cost base than high street shops, and offering free delivery at a lower price and less staff needed ...to opperate... Supermarkets and poundland type shops taking more sales from the high street adding to the misery .. Of the change in the shop society culture...
That's my logic in how things are heading in the near future.. The cost base of so many shops will be hard to bare as increases and less footfall become a bad combination for any business to exist..
