Good post... But maybe we see things from different ways... To me the regeneration fund is a farce by the fact that it is nearly untouched... A sticking plaster on a major wound... Cutting rents and rates creates less revenue to council revenue which mean cuts elsewhere or an increased cost to householders community charges
As for shoes many now are not repairable with moulded soles... Like many electrical items being a throw away not bother repairing society ....
The bottom line is the sheer lack of spendable incomes.. To many people.... And utility bills and house prices 25 % over priced... And incomes and pensions falling or reached poor levels that will not regenerate the retail high street with any regeneration fund.... You cannot spend extra with money you have not got.... While bills still keep increasing.... If mortgage rates increase there will be another round of financial hardship....
So with 650 MPs highly paid by tax payers ... I like many would expect a better run country or at least actually achieve something worth while... Plenty of education in talk and question avoidance ... But very low on positive action to benefit the majority of the uk public...
Time will no doubt be the healer to many people woes... But just how long that time will take and what forced changes will occur that are not thought of yet ... Remains to be seen....
