I understand only too well what's happening in Afghan , my son's served there twice. Currently there are over 40 countries involved in the joint operation and as stated previously while not trying to be-little the Australians or any other country I think reporting of incidents involving military personnel from other countries is largely best left to their media , who are much better placed to do it. ........ As far as the olympics are concerned ,how do you go about treating a disabled athlete as an equal other than by letting him or her compete on equal terms. Competing against others of similar disability . By all means treat them equally , give them the same opportunities and chances of success........ No doubt you find that patronising and against the spirit of the games where it's not the winning but the taking part that's important .I wonder how many athletes , in either category , would agree with you .
