If anyone has a job with prospects he is the man. Whereas we all have confidence that the economy will eventually return and that our shareholdings will increase in value he has all the figures to work with and make his own projections.
Having written down everything he possibly could and sold off all the elements that were causing difficulties he has put the Bank in position to show fantastic results over the coming years. Not only will he be the hero he will be able to decide his own rewards. Who knows he may become Chancellor in five or ten years time!
