I think that money/cash ... 10 years before and leading up to the 2008 crash was undervalued and unpinned by endless credit. That has now totally changed and many things requiring credit or getting into debt is avioded by many because they do not earn enought to pay for cash or even the interest on credit cards etc... many could not before the crash but went along with the flow of easy credit...like lemmings. Now reality of that folly and caution of any debt .... is todays message. Because so many have lost so much on the past credit bandwagon of the past...... The low wages to many and high cost of living will be a nightmare of unknown time to overcome... to the point where many low earners have spare cash to enjoy and back to the 70s when money actually was king... before credit cards ....you either had money to buy or you didn`t back then. ... Very few working class went bankrupt.... Today you are constantly encouraged to get into debt by media advertising and the governments lack of debt controlled laws and allowed massive interests charged by many loans companies...even today while we are in such a uk financial mess. One question going forward is where are the say...1 million full time jobs coming from, which pay a wage big enough to finanace a house purchase during the next 10 years to kick start the economy.... probably around 1 million jobs at around 35k to 40k ...... meanwhile more per year start looking for work with few prospects...even from UNI. With no positive action regarding regulation of utility prices to wage related level of ability to pay... money for many will always be short to the majority earning less than 20k..... I pay around £50 a week for utility bills and community charges......... a big lump to many taking home just £200 a week .... a quarter of their income and living in rented accomodation ... by a friend of mine.... Just tredding water for some it would seem around the country... P.S. ....My wife has just had a courtesy phone call from BHS to tell her of a 20% off day .... and thats a first she said....they must be getting desperate
