I do feel that those who have acquired wealth have a moral duty to help society at large. Fortunately, as history has shown, a great many of these have turned to philanthropy and have made a real difference to human kind. On the flip side, there are also those who are apathetic to their fellow beings and are only interested in their own consumption. This is the unfortunate dark side of greed but I do fundamentally believe those that acquire purely for their own selfish gains are never happy. They might gain the world but they lose their soul.
