Lol...yes, I do agree. That's what happens when you suddenly come into too much money. The need to feel to outdo everyone else and build crazy buildings.
I had a look at the Qatar Investment Fund. In their holdings, 57.5% is invested in banks. Very interesting indeed....!!! It's starting to make sense now a lot more. Especially that last question in that video clip.
The consolidation would make it a lot easier for RBS to renegotiate the DAS scheme, the one thing needed to pay an ordinary dividend to attract a foreign investor. Once that's done, exit from APS and most importantly a return to profit, it would really pave the way for a sell off to a middle eastern investor. Wouldn't surprise me at all if Cameron and Georgie boy already have negotiated with Qatar. Perhaps they have said the shares are too cheap right now but when they hit x the Qataries will be first in line?
